Misty Mountain

A scenic card made from only 2 stamps?  Yes it can be done and
I did it!

I stamped the pine tree by Northwoods on plain white cardstock with
green dye ink and then punched a circle mask for the moon effect.
Then I stamped again in light blue and again without re-inking.  I used 2 different tree stamps,
making them sort of fade away in the fog.
A little blue sponged around the moon mask before removing it
and some ribbon finished the "scene."

To me it looks like a mountain slope socked in with fog
at night.
What's it look like to you?

Scenic Surprise

This card is my attempt at scenic stamping with a twist.
Rather than cutting out masks I tried a new idea.
I stamped and colored the little pig farmer (isn't he just a hoot?)
and went over him entirely with an embossing pen and clear
EP.  Then I stamped and sponged my background as usual.
It worked well except somehow his little pig face got
sort of discolored.....and my background
kinda turned into a forest fire with all that orange.
The stamps used are by
Stampscapes, TAC, Meer Images
and some others unknown.

Stamping Safari

I'm not sure if this looks like the giraffes are standing on clouds or on a savannah?  I just know it was quick and easy to do the background for this scenic card.

I tore a piece of paper and pounced powdered chalks of different colors with a sponge, moved the paper and pounced more etc.  Then I overstamped the image (by Embossing Arts) and colored it with markers.

A scenic card in no time flat!

Lost Lake

This card was done using images by Stampscapes & Alextamping. The sky and the water were done using the same Alextamping stamp and sort of "sliding" it. What fun!

Instant Scenic Card

This card uses another lovely image by Twisted Papers. I printed the vintage car in a black/white setting on my printer and then modified a tag by substituting vellum for the white cardstock and stamping the saying (by Art Impressions) and attaching it over the image.
A simple layer of black paper behind to set it off onto a white card and it was finished. Another "quick 'n easy" card by Connie.

Easiest Scenes Ever!

This card uses a printed background scene....truly the easiest scenic stamping! I printed off a photo from a Twisted Papers CD, glitzed the moon up a bit with a glitter gel pen, layered it over a piece of netting to imitate a fishing net, stamped a saying and added a small starfish charm. Quick and simple with a totally cool look. My kind of stamping to be sure.

Sponged Scenic Backgrounds

This is an easy way to make a scenic card. I stamped image in Versamark, embossed with gold EP and sponged dye inks with a round sponge. Then just wiped off embossed portions & edged with a gold leafing pen.
Voila! A lovely scenic card with little effort...just my cup of tea!

Background image is unknown and words are by Inkadinkado.

Scenic Stamping

This card was done by simply swiping an ink-filled brush across ultra-smooth paper, lifting up half-way across & turning the paper and repeating so the very center remains lighter. I built up my colors by starting with the lightest color first. The next (darker) color I lifted up a little bit sooner and so on. Then I overstamped the images for my scene in black. My good friend, Karen Wallace, showed me the way to do this technique. The trick to this is to keep a very light touch with your brush....colors can be added easily, but hard to erase when you get too much color.

By varying your colors you can make a wide array of scenic art or just fantastic backgrounds. A little tip: they don't look too promising until you put your scenic stamps in...

Stamps used were by Northwoods Rubber and Stampscapes.
