Acetate and Tissue

This is a somewhat messy technique but the results are worth it.

I stamped the large background image by Peddlers Pack on
a panel of acetate and let it dry completely before I continued.

I turned it over and applied some clear drying glue to the back side.
Then a few drops of reinkers in different colors here and there.
I smooshed them around a little for full coverage and then placed one ply of a tissue over this
and allowed to dry before finishing.

Thanks for looking!

*NEW* Geo Dies Sample

My card today uses mostly dies, punches and embossing folders.

I just got my first Geo Die from Jerry over at

Pop Up Templates
(see link below)

http://www.imacrs.com/geo-dies.htm

and of course had to play with it!  I am so
impressed with the ease and results of this
die that I will certainly be ordering more.
If you remember those Lace' stencils and how much
work they were cutting all those lines and how they
never got just right?  Then run over to Pop Up
Templates to check out all the NEW Geo Dies!
I ran this die through my Cuttlebug and zip zip it was done!

I layered that onto a Spellbinders large scalloped octagon, then onto
a panel embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder.
I stamped and colored the image (by Peddler's Pack) and
then punched it out with a large scalloped circle punch by Stampin' Up.

Lots of dimension and texture with this card, but I added some
small rhinestones around the sun/moon of the stamp for even more!

So what do you think?  Is it too much??

Swap Card

My card today is for a swap I joined over on
Midwest Stampers Yahoo group.
We had to do cards with a fall/harvest theme-do
you think this fits the bill?

I ran my brayer over some white glossy that I had inked with a K-pad
"Desert Heat"and when that dried I stamped the Peddler's Pack image with
Versamark and embossed with detail black powder.

Then I trimmed and layered more black onto an orange base.
I brayered more glossy and punched a large leaf from that
and stamped the verse (by Inky Antics), popped it up and tied
some natural hemp fibers around the stem.

Pretty simple yes?  But pretty I think.
Thanks for looking!

Metallic Fern

The subtle metallic accents of this image were gotten by
inking with a copper pigment ink and then highlighting with other colors before
stamping on black paper and embossing
with clear EP.

Some fibers and beads is all I felt this card
needed to be finished.

Image is by Peddler's Pack.

Fingernail Polish

I was going to toss this background out but decided after I stamped an image that it wasn't that bad.
I was messing with fingernail polish making a total mess as well as some shimmery backgrounds.  These are not ordinary ones since I don't have any bright flashy colors of polish.
My card uses a stamp by Peddler's Pack and below is another polish background "in the raw"
