Burnished Embossing

This card has a subtle pop to it.  You may have to look closely to see it but it is there.
I embossed the flourishes by Firecracker Designs by Pamela and then sponged some dark blue ink around each.  The trick is to get the ink closely matching your paper color so it remains very subtle.

I added a strip of dp along the top and added a row of eyelets with another matching scrap of the same dp for the word by SU!

Faux Corners Technique

Today's card is an example of the Faux Corner Technique.
I stamped the floral images (by Firecracker Designs) without reinking and
the sentiment (by Ray Ritchie Designs) in slate blue dye ink
and edged my panel with the same ink.
I cut 2 papers into triangles, again and again until I had the size I wanted.
Then  I cut the triangles to the width I wanted and butted them up against each
other to make the corners.  I added some dew drops for embellishments
and a ribbon for oomph!

Gold Metal

This card uses images by Firecracker Designs By Pamela from her "Tumbling Scarecrows" plate.
I swiped and sponged various inks over a white panel to turn it into a metal look then used a cuttlebug folder to emboss.  I cut out the pumpkins and wrapped wire to represent vines around their stems before adhering to the verse.  Layered this all together and liked how it all "meshed."

Designer Tiles

All images on this card are by Firecracker Designs By Pamela.  I took some designer papers that went well together and cut them into tiles.  I stamped various images on each and sponged around the edges of each before affixing them to cardstock.  I left a little bit open around each and went over with an embossing pen and EP to bring out the tile effect.
I matted and layered and a card was born!

Another TJN Holiday Blogstravaganza

Here comes another holiday card. I was somewhat limited with this background as it didn't allow me to stamp much on it. I got around that by cutting images and layering to make it do what I wanted.

My card uses the Brayered Spots Technique (1/08) from TJN

Cuttle Card

I was trying to see if I could use a Cuttlebug embossing folder selectively here. Just simply placing the portion I wanted to emboss inside the folder and letting the other part out, it worked fine.
I embossed part of the front with the "Autumn Leaves" embossing folder and ran a dye ink pad lightly over the top to give a slight tint of color, then stamped 3 delightful pumpkin images by Firecracker Designs By Pamela adding some thin crinkly gold wire for vine tendrils.

Bouncing Brayer Revisited

This card is a new "take" on a previous technique...the Bouncing Brayer. To refresh how this tech goes just check on the right side in the label area.
I masked an image and bounced my brayer, then removed the mask and colored the image. I think it sort of makes it "pop".
What do YOU think?
