LIM #273 It's A Dragon!

Another challenge over at
This week is #273 and the theme is saints and dragons
I heat embossed a dragon image by
Judi-Kins and stamped a verse by
Lawn Fawn that seemed (to me)
to go with it well.
Be sure to stop over at

Tons Of Texture

I saw the current challenge over at
Less Is More
is something with
TEXTURE
This one has it!
My background is done with an
embossing folder by Cuttlebug
"Swiss Dots"
The image stamp is by Judikins
I popped the middle lantern up and colored
that one only with my Copics.
I added a bit of black rickrack also.
I notice some "fuzzies" on my scan
but cannot find them looking at the card?
It might be time to clean my camera lens....
Thanks for stopping and be sure to check out
the Less Is More site for lots more texture!

CAS-UAL Fridays

I am playing again over at
CAS-UAL Fridays!
My card is for the current
"Wallpaper Challenge"
where you stamp your own backgrounds.

I used a smear stamp by Paper Inspirations for color
and overstamped that with a row of dancers by
Judi-Kins.
The large dancer that is fussy cut is by
A Stamp In The Hand
and the verse is by angi-b & co
Inks by Memento and paper by Papertrey.
Hope you like it!

Faux Webbing Technique

If your can of spray webbing is empty don't worry.  You can
imitate webbing with this technique.

Supplies:
glossy cardstock
versamark ink pad
saran wrap
fine or detail embossing powder

Crumple some saran wrap and dip it in versamark.
Pounce this onto your paper very lightly, here and there.
Dust with detail EP and heat set.

You will get results almost identical to spray webbing.
The trick to this is to use a very light touch

My card uses images by Judi-Kins and Penny Black.
I put a slice of gold foil paper down the center to
spice it up.

Leapin' Lizards!

I did a resist for this card...easy peasy!
Then I ironed the EP off and smooshed inks over a crackle
background by Red Castle.
The little lizard is by Judi-Kins.
Isn't he adorable?
The sentiment is computer generated because I
just HAD to have that particular saying....
Thanks for looking,
Connie

Credit Card Critter

I made the background for this card by swiping an old credit card around some splotches
of Createx paints.  They give a more dimensional result than plain reinkers would.
I stamped the "critter" (by Judi-Kins)
on a white panel and cut him out.
Added some funky fibers and threw it all together.

It sort of grows on you doesn't it?

Looks Like Bleach?

This card was done using a fake bleach look.  For the focal image (by TAC) I misted with Memories Misters first, then stamped the bug (by TAC) with versamark and embossed with white ep.  I added color with reinkers/water brush, trying to coordinate where possible.
This is much easier than bleach and gives a more unified result IMO
The background flourishes are by Quiet Fire Designs and the word is a Judi-Kins.
I added the gem to dot the "i" and add some bling at the same time.
We finally had some spring type temperatures here and I am so ready for spring!

Angels

I needed to make a sympathy card for a dear dear friend and I wanted the vellum "look" to my Angel image.  How to attach the pesky vellum?  I used my trusty ribbon punch by Martha Stewart to punch a line of slots along one side which I ran some narrow ribbon thru.
The glossy behind the vellum is simply swiped with a couple of different Blending Blox by Dee Gruenig.  The verse is by Penny Black and the cute little angel is by Judi-Kins.
