Too Much Tequila?

I saw the current challenge over at

which is:

Color Blocks?  IMO that leaves this challenge
WIDE OPEN!!

Here is what I came up with:

I've been itching to try this new set from
Hero Arts so paired it with some
stamps by Door County and paper salon.
I used Memento dye inks
"Bahama Blue"
"Love Letter"
"Pear Tart"
"Cantaloupe"
I popped the martini glass up
to add dimension.
Thanks for stopping.

Tags Tags Tags!!

Today is all about tags!
Tags of any shapes or sizes
whatever else you want to play with
Sample #1
This is a tag....just a tag, but what a tag! Sam has collaged a shipping tag with various background papers, added stickers and a brad plus a button, then she has wrapped wire around the tag and added tiny beads. I topped it off with some cool fibers. This may be used as a stand-alone tag/card just as it is or you might adhere it to the front of your card.

Sample #2
For this card I ran some cardstock through my corrugator for dimension, then glued some fibers behind it before placing it on my card. I guess I first stamped the little flower in Versamark all over the cardfront. Then I sponged different colors of dye ink on the 4 small tags and stamped more flowers and colored them with markers. I laid the tags together and stamped the verse then I adhered them to the cardstock strip just a little ways apart from each other with pop dots. This is a quick way to incorporate your tags right into your design itself.
Stamp credits: verse is Art Gone Wild and flower is unknown

Sample #3
For this card I first stamped in Versamark and a couple of light dye ink colors my main image all over the front. Then I took an oval vellum tag apart...prying off the vellum from the back side very gently. I then glued a pc. of plastic for my 'window' and turned the tag face down with the plastic on the bottom. I then (very tediously) laid small pcs of foam tape along the metal rim and filled with small confetti and a cute little metal clothes hangar then covered it with a pc. of white cardstock. I then taped this concoction on the center of my cardfront. My tag has now become a shaker window!

Stamp credit: paper salon (hard to see from the scan but it says: Hang In There!)

There are many more ways of using tags with your cards but these are just 3 easy ones for you.

Now....tag! You're It!!!

Using Punches As Stencils....what next?

Today I am showing you a totally *fun* card.

I punched some martini glass shapes with a Marvy punch
and used the negative shape to sponge ink onto my
panel as well as some of the shapes themselves.

Then I stamped a similar glass image by Paper Salon
here and there.

I put some of the punched shapes on top of the
word stamp (unknown) and stuck a pink
feather behind.

A good way to "grow" your stamp collection is to
turn your punches into stencils!

Comfort Zone?

I did this card for a swap and it is SO out of my comfort zone.
We had to make something using the Fainting Lady image
and I didn't want to be like 90% of the other swappers and
do the usual swooning scene.
So I stamped her in an alcoholic stupor......
The floor is done using the Scor Pal with what I call
"Scored Boards" technique.  That is scoring lines, swiping ink and
dotting the nail look on craft cardstock.
The drink glass is by paper salon and the
verse is by Door County.
So what do you think?  Does she look like she
partied all night and is sleeping it off??

Technique Blitz-Metallic Stone Technique from CD #6

Another AWESOME technique by TJN!! This is the Metallic Stone Technique and it began as a plain old piece of white cardstock....can you believe it?

Go to Pat's site and check out that CD before she runs out! It's packed with even better techs than this one!

Doodle Art Technique

This card was inspired by a white gel pen I recently bought. I stamped swirls (by Autumn Leaves) over a brayered background and added doodles here and there with the gel pen. Stamped word (by paper salon) and added a perky ribbon and was done in no time!

Hope you like. Hope you let me know that you like it....
