Perky Pumpkins

I lined up the circle die and stamped thru
the circles so images are inside.
I added vines with micro glue dots. Done!

Credit Card Creation

Did you know you can create gorgeous backgrounds with
credit cards?  They are not just for shopping any longer.

I began by dribbling various colors of  Adirondack
Dimensional Pearls acrylic paints onto a scrap
of plastic which I used as my "palette."

Then I swiped an old credit card across the paint to load
with color and swiped it around my cardstock.
I edged this with a copper leafing pen after I had
trimmed it to size.

I stamped and trimmed a cute lizard by
picture show stamps as my focal image.
Added some fibers and called it done.
You could sprinkle ep's or glitter over the top
before the paint dries if you want.

A fast, yet splashy, card I think.
What do you think?

Snakeskin!

This is a cool technique for a background that mimics snakeskin, or elephant hide in this case.  The tech comes from the Technique Junkie Newsletter so you will have to go there to find how to do this.

I pretty much layered after doing the technique, running a scrap thru the cuttlebug.  Stamped an image by picture show and layered that also.

So what do you think?

Skin!

This card simulates reptile skin on the background.  Depending on the color you start with, you can get a fairly accurate elephant hide look or even a rattlesnake skin.
Dab, smoosh or DTP some co-ordinating pigment colors on a glossy panel and sprinkle clear EP over the entire piece.  Using a toothpick, a needle or something other, "draw" lines across the EP.  This removes the clear EP.  Then go ahead and heat emboss your panel.  See how my "lines" appear different?
I layered some black, some grey, along with an image by picture show to finish it off.
