This Bud's For You

I see I have been neglecting my blog lately....my bad!

This CAS card is very simple yet striking IMO.
I used a frame die & a circle die both are by
Simon Says Stamp.
I colored the vines with Copic markers and also
the tiny white fabric roses by Offray
The verse stamp is by Art Gone Wild
(I could not resist using this)

Thanks for looking and for stopping by!

LIM#283 Kitchen Colors

A new challenge over at
This week is to make a CAS card using your
kitchen colors.  Below is my card:
I paper pieced the little giraffe image
(by Art Impressions)
with some dp by DCWV "Safari Chic"
and sponged some Distress inks for a quick scene.
I popped the stitched frame
(by Simon Says Stamp) after
inking the verse (by Stampendous).
I added a small flower for a sun to hide an oops.
It sort of looks like a sun?

And below is a pic of my kitchen and the colors.
You see the pottery on cab tops is from
New Mexico (the blues and greens),  walls are yellow and cabs are brown

Simon Says Challenge

Another challenge!  Its the
"Anything Goes Birthday"
over at

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog
I used a ProvoCraft folder with a stamp by
Stampourri that I double cut and popped to fit
all the "stuff" inside.
Dies by Tim Holtz and color by Copic
I love those rascal birds!!
*when you have a birthday in
April it calls for an umbrella doesn't it?*

Tine (or tiny) Bows Tech

A new challenge over at
Less is More

This one entails making something showing
POLKA DOTS
I used stamps by MFP, a die by
Simon Says Stamp and paper by echo park
I also used a technique for making bows
with a common kitchen fork.  I found
this on YouTube and the direct link
to view this is below:

Thanks for stopping by my blog and be sure to check out

Light Tomorrow

This is another card for the current challenge
over at Less Is More
It calls for using wire somewhere on
your creation so I added a wire handle
to the Inky Antics image.
A die by SSS for the circle
and some Memento inks sponged
and it looks good to me.

Very Vellum

I'm back!  Moving took a looonnng time.  I want to share a simple vellum card I made for a friend's
wedding.

I cut a vellum panel with a stitched rectangle die as a base.
Next I used gold mirror cardstock to diecut some circles.
Then I diecut various foliage dies from white tissue paper
(wanted them to stand out against the vellum)
Lastly a saying stamp was added as well as a small ribbon.

My sample uses saying stamp by Prickley Pear stamped with
Delicata Golden Glitz ink, dies by Simon Says Stamp "Stitched Rectangles"
and "Circle Loops" as well as dies by memorybox "Prim Poppy"
and Cheery Lynn Designs "Ferns".
I weaved the foliage through the rings for added texture. I
needed a wedding card, but this would also do well for a sympathy card
using a different verse of course.

I am entering this into the current white-on-white challenge at
Less Is More....wish me luck?

SSS Die Crazy

This monochromatic card was made
for a swap using stencils but I realized I had also
used a die so that makes it eligible for the
"Die Crazy"

I airbrushed Copic YR24 over a stencil by
memorybox
"Texture Brilliant"
on some cream stock
and cut a die by poppystamps
"Tilda Swirl"
and popped it with foam tape.
The verse by Stampin' Up! was
used as it fit the space just right.
Thanks for stopping by.

Birds Of A Feather

I was playing with a new die by Penny Black and this card was born.
I cut the birds in black and again from  a yellow patterned paper
and pieced  one of them.
The "grass" was made by sponging different inks and flicking ink specks
to imitate a grassy look.
The sky was made by sponging blue inks lightly over
white paper and adding some blue bubbles.
The verse is by Marks Finest Papers.

I am entering this card in the current challenge over at
Less is More - Makes me Smile
and the Animal Antics challenge at
Simons Wednesday Challenge
Thanks for stopping by and hope you are enjoying a
glorious Easter Sunday!

Sunny Rays

This CAS card was very quick to make.
On white glossy I sponged some Memento inks:
"Cantaloupe"
"Dandelion"
"Tangelo"
"Love Letter"
I then stamped the verse by Judith
before embossing with a folder by
Craft Concepts
"Sun Rays"
and sanded some of the rays and
added a small charm.

challenge over at

Snow Day!

I made this simple CAS card in under 5 minutes (not counting drying time)!
I stamped the scene (by memory box) and used a stencil by
Simon Says Stamp "Falling Snow"

Actually there is a "ice effect" with this card since I had no white embossing paste
so had to improvise....
I mixed some white Copic ink with some translucent embossing paste to get
the white color.  Alas the Copic seems to granulate when mixed but it held together
good enough for this I think, but it was a bit grainy in the end.

I am entering this in the current

challenge
"Ice Inspiration"

Thanks for stopping by.

Real Cowboys

I was happy to see the new challenge over at

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog
Simon Says Stamp which is
to make your own background paper.
I have been on a roll, making up a bunch of
wooden floor backgrounds
so of course I am using one of them.

I made the floor boards by lightly brushing dye inks
over paper, leaving lots of blotches.  Then I drew lines using a ruler for the
"boards" and added small dots for the "nails".
I think it looks pretty authentic, do you?

Stamps are by Stamp A Mania and stickers by
Jolee's and Colorbok
with a die by SB "Wonky Squares"

Thanks for stopping by.

Thankful or Thank Fall?

I made this simple CAS card for the current challenge over at

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

The challenge is for either
thanks or Thanksgiving so I think
my card will fit.

Stamps are some UMs that I think are
by Hero Arts and the die cut is by memory box.

Gotta run!  My sister is coming to visit and I need
to clean my stamp room before she
arrives even though we will trash it I'm sure.
First impressions and all that you know......

Oh, Ship!......Again

I am playing again!
Tried to do the sketch below for
CAS(e) This Sketch!

My rendition looks like this:

Stamps are by Simon Says Stamp
and die is by Die-namics
"Catch A Wave"

The hardest part was lining up those waves!!

I am entering this into the challenge at
Simon Says Stamp as well.

Oh, Ship!

Oh,  Ship!
I forgot your birthday

My twisted sense of humor just loves this
stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.

I totally blew my g-daughter's birthday
and had to make a quick card for her.

A few clouds across  the panel for a sky,
stamping the ship and adding
some die cut borders.
TaDa! It was done!!

(Of course only the first 2 words
appear on the front to encourage
curiosity)

Thanks for stopping by.

WTF!

I have entered this card into the current challenge over at

The challenge was to make something that is

JUST PLAIN WRONG!

I used stamps by Simon Says Stamp and a
die by Die-namics titled
"Snow Drifts"
(which I morphed into an
island by the sea!)
A foam palm tree sticker colored with
Copic markers and it was done.
Thanks for stopping by.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge

This one is for the
Simon says Stamp challenge:

It is a birthday card so fits that challenge as well!
