Quietfire Designs on Vellum

Today's card shows a simple, yet effective way to make a statement.
I smooshed inks around on a white glossy panel, adding
some metallic to the mix first.
Then I stamped the verse by Quietfire Designs with
white ink on some vellum, attaching
that over my glossy with circular
brads after rounding the corners.
There you have it!

Quietfire Designs Beaded Window with a Twist

For this card I did a window yes. But the way I did it was not the run-of-the-mill window.

I laid it out and on one side of the acrylic window I sprayed some adhesive before placing
a couple of punched music notes and some small seed beads to "suspend" them before I placed
another piece of acrylic over it.

The rest is just a Cuttlebug embossing folder and the verse is by Quietfire Designs. IRL it looks
kinda cool with the beads suspended rather than rattling around.

Painted Pigments

I sort of smooshed pigment reinkers over some white cardstock and then overstamped with the pretty AAA image in black for this card.
I love silhouette stamps as they are so easy to get a good look with.
The pigment inks blend so well also.
I think it looks like the buggy is going by an old-fashion street lamp
in the background?

Looks Like Bleach?

This card was done using a fake bleach look.  For the focal image (by TAC) I misted with Memories Misters first, then stamped the bug (by TAC) with versamark and embossed with white ep.  I added color with reinkers/water brush, trying to coordinate where possible.
This is much easier than bleach and gives a more unified result IMO
The background flourishes are by Quiet Fire Designs and the word is a Judi-Kins.
I added the gem to dot the "i" and add some bling at the same time.
We finally had some spring type temperatures here and I am so ready for spring!

Quiet Fire Designs Waterworks

This was a quick card.  I stamped the scenic elements (by Stampscapes) in black, also the verse by Quiet Fire Designs and embossed.
Then I scribbled watercolor crayons across....green where I wanted grass, blue for foggy mountains etc.
Here is where it gets messy:  Dipping my fingertips into a bowl of water, I pounced my fingers over each color....wiping color off before tackling a new color to keep from muddying things.
Sort of a cool concept isn't it?  By how heavy you scribble color you can control how vibrant the outcome can be.
It is also a great stress reliever!

Quiet Fire Designs Create

Just smearing inks over white cardstock results in amazing backgrounds doesn't it?  Twisting those small inkpads does even more.
I layered a scrap on top done with flourishes and a verse all by Quiet Fire Designs.
Simple yet elegant?

Quiet Fire Designs Connection

I guess I'm on a "torn paper roll" with this card.  I tore several papers along one side and layered them, attached a charm.  The beautiful  Quiet Fire Designs
verse stamp was stamped over another, a Meer Images tree,  and sponged along the edges before adhering on top of it all.
In my mind the verse sort of reminded me of family ties or trees...hence the tree image.

Quiet Fire Designs-Alcohol Ink Float Technique

This background was made by laying a piece of cardstock facedown on some water that had alcohol reinkers dribbled onto.  The inks sort of lay on top of the water and make some way cool designs on your paper when you lift it off.
I paired the background with a lovely verse by QuietFire Designs, some ornate corners and an outrageously cute pair of shoes.  Not sure if you notice, but the shoes are attached by some fiber that comes from a tiny punched hole in the center of the word "shoes" in the verse itself.
How cool is that?

Quiet Fire Saran Wrap

Those lovely calligraphy stamps from Quiet Fire Design seem to stand on their own don't they.  I did this with some inks and saran wrap plus a little layering and some fancy trim.
The resulting background can really be anything you want it to be can't it?

Faux Layers

This was a pretty easy card to make for such an elegant result.  Simply rip paper, lay over your cardstock and ink the uncovered portion.  You end up with what appears to be a paper layer and is no more than ink!
I began with light purple cardstock, covered the lower portion with torn paper and applied darker purple ink for a base.  Then I stamped a swirl stamp (by Quietfire Designs) & a crackle (by IBFS) in black and reinked the crackle with gold ink.  A piece of black rickrack, a paper flower and a "thanks" by DeNami Designs finished it off.

Create Without Limits-Technique

This background was done using Luna Lights paints. Doesn't it give a lovely effect? So easy! Just drip some Luna Lights inside a page protector, close the page and smoosh them around. Then put 2 pcs of glossy cardstock inside with glossy sides towards paint and shut the folder. Work the paints into designs and remove. Set aside to dry. Very quick and easy to get such a dramatic result.
Saying is by Quietfire Designs. They have such nice calligraphy stamps!

Another Re-Inker Splash>TJN Tech

I did this background using the TJN technique of Re-Inker Splash. Then stamped flourishes on the background and layered verse (Quietfire Design) with sassy clear black ribbon tied around it.
Quick 'n Easy!

Cuttlebug Card

I stamped this card and ran it through my Cuttlebug, then swiped ink across gently to add color to the tops of the embossed areas only. It really adds lots of depth IRL.

Masked Background Technique

This card uses masking for the background. Cover the area you want to remain white first. Then tear a piece of copy paper in the shape you want (in this case I ripped it randomly) and holding it in place, sponge dye ink across your paper. Move the masking paper and sponge another color where you want that etc. A good idea to begin with your lightest color first. Then overstamp your images. I used trees by Meer Images and the verse is by
Quietfire Design.

Thanks for looking!
