LIM: Touchables
There is a new challenge at
and it is to make something
TOUCHABLE
Imagine the possibilities!
Here is my card:
I cut the peacock with a die by Ellentina
from some glittery fun foam and
layered it on a label cut with die by SB.
I added a teal gem for an eye and used a corner rounder
and some dimensional tape.
This is certainly "touchable" and
really glitters IRL.
Be sure to check out the LIM site:
for lots of nifty ideas and samples.
Thanks for stopping by!

LIM 285 Wine A Bit
A new challenge at
This week we are to make art using
Repetitions.
Below is my work:
I began with a die by SB
"Fancy Tags" that I stamped the verse by
Art Impressions.
Then I cut some designer paper by
Prima "Fairy Flora" into a strip
which I threaded onto my tag
after I sponged some ink around edges.
When I had that centered I marked the
edge and stamped several bottles
by Bad Axe Trading Co.
I figured I had better quit before I
did too much and ruined that
"white" space...as I tend to do!
Check out the
site to see the lovely samples over there!

LIM284 "Take Time"
This week's challenge over at
is a one layer card with a "time" theme.
OLCs are so not my faves but I try.
I wanted to use something other than
clocks as it seems most think of these
with this sort of challenge.
So I went with a stencil by
memorybox "Texture Shine"
I masked off some to keep that desired
white space and sponged Distress inks
"Mustard Seed" and "Spiced Marmalade".
The verse stamp is by MFP and those
tiny speckles are a stamp by Judith
(to hide a smudge of course).
Be sure to check out
to see all the nifty ideas there!

LIM#283 Kitchen Colors
A new challenge over at
This week is to make a CAS card using your
kitchen colors. Below is my card:
I paper pieced the little giraffe image
(by Art Impressions)
with some dp by DCWV "Safari Chic"
and sponged some Distress inks for a quick scene.
I popped the stitched frame
(by Simon Says Stamp) after
inking the verse (by Stampendous).
I added a small flower for a sun to hide an oops.
It sort of looks like a sun?
And below is a pic of my kitchen and the colors.
You see the pottery on cab tops is from
New Mexico (the blues and greens), walls are yellow and cabs are brown

LIM 282 Stencils
I was playing with a new purchase and see the
current challenge over at
is stencils. Yes!
I taped down a stencil by Tim Holtz
"Scribbles"
onto black cardstock panel and
applied some gold glitter paste
by Bo Bunny
(this stuff dries amazingly quick)
I layered that on some gold mirror card and then onto
more black. I cut some shapes by
The Paper Cut and adhered another diecut
by memorybox "thanks"
I went a bit overboard to be totally
CAS but I liked the results and they did
(sort of) fit the challenge so
that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

LIM 281 Faux Bleach
I tried the faux bleach tech with some Yupo paper and find that it does not
like to be heat embossed. It crinkled on me so I trimmed
out the wrinklies and ended up with a slim strip....
I used dye reindeers for the color and it seems to have
"bleached" out most of it.
Dragonfly stamp is by Magenta
word die is by Taylored Expressions
I fussy cut an extra dragonfly and popped
him up so you can see how he looked
before ironing off most color.
I am not too happy with my results
but I have not got time to re-do
so here it is.
Be sure to stop by the
site to see the wonderful
creations everyone (except me) has posted!

I think I have enough purple don't you?
The hills were made with a die by MFT
"Snow Drifts"
Stamps are by Lawn Fawn
"Critters From the Past"
I popped my purple dinosaur over the
purple hills...reminds me a bit of
BARNEY!!
I shaped the verse into the shape I wanted

white and then sponged more pink
behind words.
Some ribbon from Reasonable Ribbon and
it was finished.
Stamps were UMs without a name.

to go with it well.

Outside My Window
A new challenge over at
This week it is
"What's outside your window"
You know, that could mean anything!!
Here is my rendition:
First I cut a shape in the front layer, then
embossed with an ef by Tim Holtz
"Bricked"
I smooshed several Distress inks
over and stenciled some clouds,
then stamped a flower garden
with stamps by
North Coast Creations
"Something Marvelous"
The window die is by poppystamps
"small madison window"
To finish I popped both the window and the panel
beneath it for dimension.
Be sure to POP on over to the
blog for lots more inspiration and tell them Connie sent you!

Hanging Over The Edge
This was done for a challenge over at SCS where you had to make a card with an
element hanging over the edge. It took a bit to come up with something but I enjoyed this one.
I had to think a bit for this one! I stamped the cat then masked him then embossed with a folder by Tim Holtz "Bricked". Then stamped and cut out the cat and popped him up. I swiped some inks over the embossed bricks to pop it more. I cut down the front a bit so it would fit into an A2 envelope.

Happy From The Edge
My grandson is having a birthday next week AND I wanted to
play with a new die I got in the mail
SOOOOOOOO
here is what happened:
I think this die is cool because half is a reverse cut
and because I find I can use the "leftovers"
with another creation!
I popped the cupcake image
(by MFP)
up several times for dimension and spread
some Distress Stickles on the frosting
also used my PITT white pen by Faber-Castell
for the shine on the little cherry.
I see the stem on that same cherry extends past the edge so this
will also be entered into the current challenge at
which is:
Oh yes. That die? It is by
Memory Box

Sunny Rays
This CAS card was very quick to make.
On white glossy I sponged some Memento inks:
"Cantaloupe"
"Dandelion"
"Tangelo"
"Love Letter"
I then stamped the verse by Judith
before embossing with a folder by
Craft Concepts
"Sun Rays"
and sanded some of the rays and
added a small charm.
I am entering this in the current
challenge over at
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy New Year!!
This is most likely my final post for this year.
2013 was a good year for crafting, I found lots of
challenge blogs and quit some of the DTs I was
on so had the time to have some FUN!!
I found that stamping is fun UNLESS one has to do it!
Then it becomes work.
So you could say that I quit working and went on a fun spree!!
My card today is for the
and a new one called
It works for the CFC as it is a New Year theme
and it took me
7 min 58 seconds so it
qualifies for the DASH!!
Here is my CAS card:
stamps by katie & co.
emb folder by Provo Craft
Gelly Roll glitter pen for oomph
Copics for color
foam tape for pop
Thanks for stopping by and hope your new year is
GREAT!!

Happy Sneezin' Season!
here it is, the last sketch of 2013 by
and below is my take on it:
My camera turned the pretty blue paper into drab grey
so I scanned but now my sparkly snowflakes blurred.
Guess today is not mine!
Stamps by Darcie's and the
snowflakes are done with a
Martha Stewart punch. Those snowflake
centers are some clear skittles.
Thanks for stopping!

A Partridge In A Pear Tree?
This time they wanted a
one layer card using a
theme of
"the 12 days of Christmas"
and below is my attempt:
I don't think Partridges are red, but then
that isn't your ordinary pear tree either!
Stamps used are by
bird: Marks Finest Papers
trees: stash unmounteds?
I masked the center off and airbrushed my
background and then stamped.
The words are handwritten....
I tried?
