AAA Bamboo'd Cuttlebug

This card is nothing more than a green paper ran through the Cuttlebug with an oversized embossing folder
with a bamboo theme.
I stamped the small image by About Art Accents
in one corner and layered onto black and then on a darker green base.

I feel the simplicity makes it elegant and it could be appropriate for almost any occasion.
Thanks for looking!

AAA Double Cuttled

I hope this card shows all the detail on it.
I ran a white paper thru a larger oriental Cuttlebug embossing folder
that had a pattern all over (but no name) and swiped a light tan inkpad over (Colorbox "Dune").

Then I ran a piece of vellum thru the Cuttlebug with an oriental tag theme and colored the
"wires" with a gold Copic marker.  I made a small tag, stamped a small image by About Art Accents and attached with a small gold
brad and gold fibers, then used 4 of the same brads to attach it all together.

The effect is a uniform one but it is very subtle and might not show all the details
with my scan.
Take my word for it though, it  is very pretty IRL.

About Art Accents Glitter Gal

I had this glittery paper by Basic Grey and this card kind of
just fell in place with the paper.

I stamped the girl by

with Tuxedo Black by Memento on some green cardstock
that matched the glittery paper and began layering with
that and black.
Then I punched a row of flowers with a border punch by EK Success
and laid that along the bottom layer.
Stamped a word and it looked good to me so I quit.

Sometimes knowing when to quit is hard.
Thanks for looking.

About Art Accents

This card with the pretty silhouette stamp by

is stamped in black dye on a wax paper resist background.
I added die cut corners made with Provo Craft's
"Vintage" dies.

The background was done by ironing a scrap of wax paper that had been
wrinkled and smoothed out on some glossy until the wax transferred
and then brayering various dye inks on top.  The wax resisted the dye, hence the name.

Thanks for stopping by!

AAA's Queen of Hearts

This quick card features a lovely lady from plate 61 "Queens" by

I layered several designer papers from my stash and
colored her to match.

I am finally figuring it out that things go so much easier if I
choose my papers first, then do the coloring.  With
all my markers, I can always find one to match...LOL

AAA Tai Chi Boy

When I saw this cute image by About Art Accents I thought of paper piecing immediately.
Then I began having problems finding some dp that would look good
as clothing and also a background....but I think
this design fills the bill.  What do you think?

I stamped a mask for the boy and then airbrushed the background around him
very faintly, then cut it all out with my Cuttlebug.

A rather simple card with lots of hidden work to it.

About Art Accents Motif

I'm not sure just what this little motif by

is supposed to mean, but it fit my
background paper to a T.
I stamped it in red ink in some of the circles before layering
it as a focal image.

A pretty simple, but quick card!
Thanks for looking.

About Art Accents Halloween Style

I am almost embarrassed to tell you how quickly this card
came together.

I found some interesting background paper and
stamped the AAA image with Tuxedo Black dye by Memento.
Then I colored with a Copic marker that was just a tad bit darker but matched
my dp.
Two glittery black puffy stickers were all the bling this card needed IMO.

If there is such a thing as a 5 minute card, this was the card!!

You can find this stamp (as well as tons of others) by clicking on the

AAA Swap Card-Stickers!

This swap card was done using the required stickers in any way,
plus some geometric shapes for flair and a gorgeous stamp by
About Art Accents.

I stamped the image in black onto white paper, then cut a larger mat from
red paper and a larger one yet from white paper.
I cut each mat diagonally and laid it down with middles apart.
I then matted the whole thing onto a piece of black.

Added 2 large puffy stickers as per requirement and decided
that was enough.
I think this AAA image is dramatic enough to stand without added color don't you?

AAA Swap Card-Ribbon!

Today's card is for the same swap, this time using ribbon in any way.
This was a "Stuff" swap where we had to use "stuff" on each card.
I will be uploading more stuff cards as soon as I get them finished.

I embossed the white panel with a cuttlebug folder, rounded the corners & set it aside.
Then I punched around a square of white with a Martha Stewart punch and layered that onto
another square of blue paper, running ribbon beneath before layering it also.
I stamped the bird by About Art Accents in black on top and
tied small pieces of ribbon at each side.
Another simple card that packs a punch (pun intended)

AAA Swap Card-Vellum!

This is another About Art Accents card swap, this time using vellum in any way.

I embossed a panel of green paper with the D'Vine Swirls embossing folder, layered onto black paper and attached some variegated fibers before layering onto white.

I made a vellum tag with some vellum on top of white scrap stamped and embossed with
an AAA image that was colored from behind before putting it together with my
tagmaker tool.
I popped the tag up with fibers behind.
A clean, simple card?

Tomorrow I will show you a card I made using ribbon in any way for the same swap.

AAA Swap Card-Buttons!

I will be totally honest with you.  I had some swap cards needing to be done.  I also had to produce some sample cards for About Art Accents.  Soooo I made this card do "double-duty"!

I stamped the image by AAA on white paper then cut a mask for the clouds.  I sponged some blues and greens around before removing the mask.  I used a smaller sponge for the yellow inside the carriage.

The swap theme was to use buttons in any way so I attached 2 buttons for wheels on the carriage.
I love those AAA silhouette stamps, you can do so much with them!

AAA Rooster Circles

This Fowl wears a feather from my flock of Bantams, washed and dried of course.  They are so kind to donate their excess to me......
The circle rooster image is by About Art Accents.  I cut it out after coloring with Copic markers.
Then I cut more circles in gradually larger sizes using Spellbinders standard circle dies in large and small.
I offset the circles and stuck the feather beneath them.

I felt this was enough.  What do you think??
You will find the entire Rooster plate by clicking below:

About Art Accents-Chums

This simple card featuring images by About Art Accents was born from
a piece of advertising that came in the mail.
If you look closely you can see 3 colors behind the AAA images.
That is all one piece of paper and was the perfect size for one of my punches.
I punched several squares and stamped the images on each, then layered them
onto the colored strip of advertising.
I trimmed that and layered some black before affixing to my base.
I added a black specialty brad for the words
and was done.
That adorable image says it all.

About Art Accents-Black and White

A totally monochrome card today.
I stamped the image (by About Art Accents) onto
glossy white with Tuxedo black dye ink.
Then I began layering and layering.
Some perky dimensional stickers are
the only embellishments.
The classic beauty of black and white
really doesn't need anything more IMO.
Hope you like it as much as I do.

AAA Rooster

You could call this card a comedy of corrections.
It began with me cutting off the corners of the focal image piece
which is by About Art Accents
to get rid of some accidental smudges.
So okay now I have this octagonal shape, now what?
Well I edged it with a gold leaf pen and colored the rooster with a Copic marker.
I trimmed some different DP papers and realized they were just a tad bit too alike.
Now what?  I edged those with the leafing pen as well to define their edges and separate them.
Then to bring it together I stamped the word by AAA in the bottom corner
and added some thin gold fibers and an Oriental coin.
The fibers are much more golden IRL as are the leafing pen accents.

It's a Dog's World

This card began with the nifty background paper by DCWV.
You can't see from the crooked scan, but every one of those paw prints is glittered!
I stamped and embossed the dog image by About Art Accents
and used some Spellbinder dies to cut a couple of circles.
Then I tied this cute little mint in the shape of a dog bone
to some thin ribbon to run beneath the image.
Oh yes!  That extra paw print I added by the dog is covering up a smudge.
I had it all finished when I noticed the offending speck so what's a gal to do?
Hope you like how it turned out 'cuz I sure do!!

AAA & Black Magic Technique

Here come those lovely About Art Accent Koi again.
Can you tell that I just love these fish?

Now to explain this technique:
I stamped the image on dark cardstock with white craft ink and embossed with clear ep.
Then I colored with watercolor pencils and used a little water to blend.  I added some highlights with a white gel pen.
Easy as it gets!
I used a flower that had been outside for awhile and wasn't pure white anymore, but it fit
the off-white scheme just perfectly.
Guess I am a die-hard stamper if I see something and turn it into a card yes?

Faux Domino Technique

This card was done using a technique from the latest Technique Junkie Newsletter.
All I can tell you is that it resembles dominoes.  Sorry, but you need to subscribe to find out more.
I used stamps by About Art Accents colored with Copic markers.
A little gold fiber and a brass butterfly charm is all
the room there was for embellishments.
But then, it really doesn't need more does it?

Painted Pigments

I sort of smooshed pigment reinkers over some white cardstock and then overstamped with the pretty AAA image in black for this card.
I love silhouette stamps as they are so easy to get a good look with.
The pigment inks blend so well also.
I think it looks like the buggy is going by an old-fashion street lamp
in the background?
