Paper Batik

This technique is called Paper Batik and it's easier than you think. First you ink an image with Versamark, stamp onto your white cardstock and emboss with clear EP. Heat to melt. Now comes the fun part! Apply colors of choice all over your paper. You can use a brayer and ink pads, you can use reinkers & sponges or you can mist with those color wash sprays...anything to color the surface. Now take a piece of paper towel and gently rub the color from your embossed image (it will resist the ink). Using a warm iron lay some newspaper down to protect your surface area, a piece of white copy paper, your stamped piece (upside-down) and another pc. of copy paper (to protect your iron just in case you ever use it for clothing in the future?)

Iron until the embossing "lifts off" revealing the white paper. You're finished! Now you just need to mat and embellish your art.
You can vary this by using a piece of mulberry paper, background papers or pretty much anything else.
