Chalk Shaving Technique

This pretty background is easily made by dunking some paper in a pan of chalk shavings and water.
Just put an inch or 2 of water in a container and shave some solid chalk in 1 or 2 colors.
The chalks will float.  Then lay your paper on top, pressing down a bit to ensure
that the paper makes complete contact and is covered with color.
Lift paper straight up and allow to dry before finishing.

I am showing you 2 generations with this card.  The first generation is the one with the flower stamp
(by Stampin' Up!) and the 2nd generation is stamped with the verse (by Seaside Stampin'.
As you can see, there is more color the first time, but a second paper is pretty as well, just a little less dramatic.

I also punched several small circles with a tiny hole punch and used as
faux brads!

What WILL I think of next??
